Actor Matthew Lawrence and dancer Cheryl Burke got married in May 2019. However, their story began back in 2006, when his brother Joey introduced him to her in the TV competition Dancing with the Stars. The two quickly hit it off and began dating. Unfortunately, their romance would be short-lived, and they would separate after a year of dating.

In an interview, Burke confessed that the cause of their break up was her worsening personal struggles. It also didn’t help that Lawrence was also going through something at the time. Fortunately, the two would reconnect in 2016. Shortly after, they began planning to have a life-long relationship and start a family together. Two years after their reunion, Lawrence proposed to the dancer. It seems like their separation ended up working out for them as they are now stronger than ever by a significant degree.
