Birdie Mae, Ace Knute & Maxwell Drew | Jessica Simpson’s Children

Jessica Simpson has a long list of credits under her name. She has an even fuller house, bursting with photos of her three children: Maxwell Drew, Ace Knute Johnson, and the latest addition to the family, Birdie Mae.

Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, had their first child, Maxwell, in 2012. They created Max’s gender-neutral name by combining her father’s middle name (Maxwell) with her maternal grandmother’s maiden name (Drew). Simpson gave birth to her first son, Ace Knute, in 2013. Ace was the 499th most common baby name in the United States in 2013, and Ace’s middle name, Knute, is a Swedish surname inherited from Johnson’s grandpa. Simpson welcomed her third child, Birdie Mae, in 2019. Although the couple told Ellen DeGeneres in 2017 that they wouldn’t be adding more kids to their brood, we’re confident that little Birdie would make a great big sister.
