Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys welcomed their first child together—third for the actress— back in 2016, but it was only in 2020 that they finally lifted the veil on their child. In her appearance on Today show, host Matt Lauer teased the actress for keeping things about her kid very private. In fact, the couple was even yet to announce their son’s arrival until Russell finally gave in.

She said they had a boy, and his name is Sam, even describing him as a good kid—a big, fat, and nice child. As Sam is Rhys’ first child, Russell assured Lauer her partner is doing well. The Felicity star has two other kids, Will and River, with her former husband, Shane Deary. She and Rhys have been keeping their relationship under lock and key after a degree of speculation.
